Although most patients experience no downtime after having Restylane® injections, a cold compress is safe to apply to help calm any swelling or bruising. Following treatment, there is sometimes a need for a touch-up treatment to achieve your goal result. Keeping in mind that Restylane® injections are not permanent, the effect will gradually diminish with time. To maintain the aesthetic result, top-up treatments are recommended for maintenance and usually require lower volumes of Restylane® than initial treatments.
