How Non-Invasive Body Contouring Treatments Work

How CoolSculpting® Works 

CoolSculpting® uses a scientific process called cryolipolysis, also known as “fat freezing,” which permanently kills fat cells. During a CoolSculpting® treatment session, an applicator adheres to an area of your body where excess fat exists to initiate the cryolipolysis process. Once fat cells reach the point of freezing, the cells die and are naturally eliminated by the body through the lymphatic system in one to three months or more. The only way to achieve a permanent loss of fat cells is to either remove them through liposuction or cause their death through cryolipolysis. Since it is impossible to grow new fat cells (they simply increase or decrease in size), the fat cells removed through CoolSculpting® will never come back, meaning results are truly permanent.  

How SculpSure® Works

SculpSure® uses a light-based laser to destroy fat cells, even in difficult-to-sculpt areas such as the stomach and inner thighs. The laser-guided system directs laser energy into the treatment areas, heating the fat cells under the skin without affecting the skin’s surface or surrounding tissue. When the fat cells are heated, their structural integrity is destroyed, which causes them to break away from the surrounding tissues. The body naturally processes and eliminates the destroyed fat cells allowing for permanent results.
